Allan Adam is employed by contract with Corrections Services Canada, Allan works with inmates at the PA Penitentiary and Regional Psychiatric Center in Saskatoon. He was employed by Saskatchewan health Authority at the Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert where he got knowledge in palliative care and has an understanding of life from birth to death.
He is a spiritual Elder, a pipe holder given to him from the Dene ancestors that dates back over 600 years. He completed Dene protocol and Ceremony to receive the sacred Dene pipe, He views this as his extraordinary responsibility as an elder. He is fluent in Desesuline.
